Denzyl, Pam, Norma, Alex and Anna, we greatly missed you and though you could not make it, I wish to thank you for your wonderful birthday gifts you sent to my home. We will certainly host another get-together in the near future.
Thanks to one and all for all the wonderful birthday presents and lovely birthday cards. I equally wish to thank all those who sent me birthday greetings via email and on Face Book plus others via the telephone.
David & Yvette, once again a million thanks for hosting such a fab party with drinks flowing all night and delicious food which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

Dear Benny & Betty
I have just realized that I missed Betty's important birthday as I only got back from India on Monday evening - so belated congratulations and very best wishes! I hope you had a great birthday, and that someone else did the cooking for once?! Did you have a big family party? Can't believe we are all reaching such a milestone - not old at all of course!
It was kind of you to ring up and wish me well on my Indian trip. I was away just over a month, first with my brothers in the foothills and hill stations where Robin and I had lived as children, then with Margared Caistor in Rajastan. The two areas were totally different but we enjoyed them both, and especially the endless sunshine! Thanks for all your helpful tips. It is a wonderful country and I hope we shall get a chance to return one day. I will bore you with photos when next we meet!
Now we have to start thinking about Christmas! We enjoyed the Diwali celebrations in India, especially as we were staying with a family at that time - wonderful fireworks, games and food. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we were sorry we couldn't stay longer.
I'll be in touch in the New Year to arrange a visit for you here - though I fear we can't live up to the fantastic visit you arranged for us to you, a highlight of the summer! In the meantime, I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.

Thanks Benny for forwarding the links to us – we have viewed the pictures which say it all, the party was immensely successful and Yvette and David did a grand job.
It was quite unusual to see Betty as a guest rather than the bionic woman in the Kitchen!
It was indeed very thoughtful of Yvette to take care of all the organisation with such attention to every detail inclusive of our teas and coffee’s with some delicious mince pies!
Least expected but a great finish to a successful event. Yvette is a perfect hostess and entertainer with multiple dress changes to her credit.
Benny your kids are just great, all three of them – they are easy to talk to and we feel so engaged in their company.
The girls have their mothers quality, hard work ethics, good food and endless supply of booze – all dished up with good humour and smiles. Nothing seems to be an effort for them.
So in summary well done to one and all and we look forward to you Benny being 80!

Hi Betty and Ben,
Belated Happy Birthday greetings to you Betty, you look absolutely beautiful, how do you do it. I enjoyed looking through the pictures and everyone seems familiar. I guess having met most of them at your place last year around this time. You had quite a party as usual. Ben, I see you serenaded to Betty lovely!
Colin and myself are okay, we went to Canada last month for a couple of days and from there we flew down to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) with 8 other friends for a 1 week all inclusive. We had a blast - Rum was flowing all day and all night, you can imagine my behaviour and the trouble I got into.
Otherwise, fall has been pleasant so far with warm temps. but going downhill as of this weekend and the cold returns. We celebrate Thanksgiving on the 24 of this month and all the kids will be coming down.
I will try to call you this weekend.
